Spectra Covid-19 update

Free and confidential counselling for people who identify as trans, non-binary or are questioning their gender identity.

Trans, non-binary or are questioning their gender identity

Free and confidential counselling for people who identify as trans, non-binary or are questioning their gender identity.

Our trans counselling service is free, confidential, and run by a trans counsellor. Following an initial assessment to determine whether counselling is the right thing for you at the moment, you may be offered up to 12 sessions which would be at the same time each week, and with the same counsellor.

Although we are a service for people who identify as trans, non binary or questioning, the reason for coming to counselling can be absolutely anything and does not have to revolve solely round your gender identity. The service exists to provide a safe space for people who may find it difficult or daunting to access counselling from other services. In responses to the current Covid-19 pandemic, all our counselling sessions will be provided online or over phone call.

If you are 16 years old or above, would like to be seen within our service please download and complete a registration form and send back to: counselling@spectra-london.org.uk.

If you are younger than 16, or simply want to find out more about this service, please email us directly.

Once we have received your registration form you will be invited for an initial assessment and then, depending on the outcome of that assessment will eventually be allocated a regular counselling slot for which the waiting time is around six months from the date we receive your registration form.

In the meantime, if you fear you may be at risk of seriously harming yourself or another person please contact your GP or go to the Accident and Emergency department at your nearest hospital which is accessible 24 hours per day.
