Volunteer for Spectra

We invest our time and energy into our volunteers

We are looking for people like you to help us keep providing quality HIV prevention, awareness and support services, and sexual health information, to our communities in Central and West London.

Gain experience that will help to build your CV

Our volunteers undertake roles in different settings: they help us with our office duties (data input, condom packing) and/or during outreach and testing sessions, by engaging with our potential clients and encouraging them to benefit from our free of charge services. These are skills that will enhance your CV.

Meet new people

Volunteering is also a good opportunity to meet new people that have the same interests and passion for health and wellbeing as you. During your volunteering, you will be in touch with other volunteers and members of staff from Spectra, and from other organisations.

Enjoy yourself and gain satisfaction from doing something good!

As a peer led organisation, we encourage volunteering applications from people that want to give something back to their own communities.

Note: Being a Spectra volunteer, you may work with potentially vulnerable people. All our volunteers will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks (previously CRB checks). Having a criminal conviction does not necessarily bar you from you volunteering with us. We consider each application on it’s own merit.
