Message from Spectra CEO, Karen Skipper:
‘Spectra is delighted to be hosting this important evening for trans, non-binary and genderqueer people to come together in a friendly, informal setting to talk about PrEP. Trans people at risk of HIV infection are under-represented in accessing PrEP via the IMPACT Trial and we need to do more to raise awareness, ask and answer questions and address issues that might create barriers to PrEP for those who could benefit from it.
Spectra has provided peer led services for trans people for several years, including counselling, workshops and social groups, and our trans staff will be on hand alongside some amazing speakers, including Kate Nambiar of Clinic T, Will Nutland of Prepster and two trans PrEP users who will speak about their personal experiences. The evening will be chaired by Ramses, one of Spectra’s Directors, who is also Chair of FTM London.
We look forward to welcoming you over a drink and refreshments and some lively discussion.’
