One year to Spectra’s HIV archival poster exhibition with Studio Voltaire

Spectra co-organised the exhibition "It's a Love Thing" at Studio Voltaire, exhibiting our archive of posters from the 80s and 90s, looking at the history of the HIV epidemic in the UK, how people dealt with it and how the different communities got together to protect each other.

As part of the exhibition's public programme, we organised a panel discussion, with speakers reflecting on the HIV crisis, the political landscape in the UK in the 90s and 2000s, and their personal involvement in the movement of tackling stigma and the co-morbidities of living with HIV.

Panellists:

Pank Sethi, GMI Partnership and Community Outreach Manager at Positive East
Marc Thompson, Lead Commissioner of the London HIV Prevention Programme
Angelina Namiba, Founder of 4M Net Mentor Mothers CIC
Grace Desouza, previously Monitoring & Performance Officer at Spectra
chaired by: Joel Robinson, Spectra CEO
