What it offers
Spectra’s trans healthcare advocacy service aims to provide up to date healthcare advice for trans or gender questioning people in the UK and performs advocacy casework and advice drop ins for those currently living in London.
We offer:
Advocacy support available online and in person, for up to 3 months and 13 hours of direct support. We plan priorities with you and have accompaniment and representation accessing healthcare.
Examples of advocacy include, but are not limited to:
- advocating for bridging prescriptions
- getting a GIC referral from a GP
- supporting with referrals for ADHD and Autism diagnosis or other healthcare support
- PIP applications
- PALs complaints
Workshops
Join us online once a month, to discuss hormone access, transition related care, DIY harm reduction, self-advocacy and more!
Drop ins
You can find us every month at:
- Health Advocacy drop-ins at 56T or
- DIY HRT needle exchange at House of Annetta
- Our online workshops (see below for details)
