Rahil Virik

Rahil Virik (they/them) is Therapeutic Services Manager/ Clinical Lead and Deputy Safeguarding Lead at Spectra. They oversee all the counselling services which includes Sexual Health, Trans, Young LGBT+ people, Alex project, psychosexual and young people counselling. Alongside supporting the Designated safeguarding lead with risk management.

Having received support from a similar organisation around their mental health when they were younger, Rahil recognises the importance of services like Spectra and the struggle of existing in between a multitude of identities. They are dedicated to developing support for and within the LGBT+ and POC communities.

They have channelled this passion through working across the charity sector building specialisms in supporting survivors, delivering training around trans awareness and mental health. As well as holding a small private practise.

Outside of work Rahil enjoys attending Desi concerts, dance classes, trying new restaurants, learning about spirituality and a good book.
