Spectra offers community-based social groups, advice surgeries, clinical tests, counselling and therapies that address isolation, stigma and barriers to basic healthcare. Our health advocacy programmes center those in our communities silenced the most in standard healthcare settings.

“Every six months I have a viral load test to check on the progression of the HIV with which I share my life. When I was first diagnosed there were over two million copies of the virus in 1 millilitre of blood. My latest result shows less than 20 copies, which effectively means it can’t be detected at all. We have made such great strides in treating HIV/AIDS and some of that success is down to organisations like Spectra.
