Working in partnership
We work in partnership with other organisations to ensure our services are inclusive, effective and rooted in the communities we serve. By working collaboratively, we can reach more people, share learning and respond better to real‑world needs.
Our partnerships take different forms, including commissioned delivery, subcontracted services, learning and development collaborations, and community‑led projects.
Commissioned & Delivery Partnerships
We work with statutory, voluntary and community sector partners to deliver services as part of wider commissioned programmes. In some partnerships we act as a lead delivery partner; in others we contribute specialist expertise as a subcontractor within a multi‑agency model.
NHS & Statutory Partnerships
We work with NHS trusts and statutory partners through a range of commissioned, subcontracted and joint‑delivery arrangements, contributing specialist community expertise alongside clinical provision. Our statutory partnership work covers our sexual and mental wellbeing services in outer northwest London and south London area.
These arrangements include working as a subcontracted partner within lead‑provider models delivered by organisations such as Turning Point, P3 Charity and Brook, as well as direct commissioned delivery. Across this work, we bring trusted community relationships, inclusive practice and delivery experience to complement statutory services. This also includes delivering HIV Prevention England activity, supporting pan‑London prevention, engagement and learning alongside wider statutory provision.
GMI Partnership
We are part of the GMI Partnership, working alongside Positive East and METRO Charity to deliver sexual health and wellbeing services across London. Through this partnership, we contribute community‑led, inclusive service delivery as part of the London HIV Prevention Programme (LHPP) serving gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men in London.
Learning & Development Partnerships
We collaborate with partners to develop learning, training and resources that improve understanding, professional practice and system‑level responses.
Trans Learning Partnership (TLP)
Spectra is part of the Trans Learning Partnership (TLP), working alongside LGBT Foundation, Mermaids and Gendered Intelligence, as well as academic researchers from the University of Nottingham and Goldsmiths, University of London. Together, we develop training, learning programmes and resources that improve understanding of trans people’s lives and experiences. Spectra contributes practice‑based insight and community knowledge to support meaningful organisational and system‑level change.
Programme & Community Delivery Partners
We work with specialist organisations to support specific programmes or communities, ensuring services are culturally relevant, accessible and locally rooted.
This includes working with partners such as:
- Kunsaka – partnership working to support culturally sensitive engagement and delivery with racialised communities, including community‑based sexual health education and support
- NAZ Project– collaboration within sexual wellbeing and community engagement work, including activity delivered as part of wider partnership and outreach models
These partnerships support work with:
- Migrant and racialised communities
- LGBTQ+ communities
- People experiencing multiple forms of disadvantage
How We Work Together
Across all partnerships, we aim to:
- Centre communities in the design and delivery of services
- Share learning, insight and best practice
- Deliver services safely, ethically and inclusively
- Be clear about roles, responsibilities and accountability
All partnership work is delivered within clear organisational policies on safeguarding, ethics, confidentiality and data protection.
