Our community participatory evaluation group intends to expand the notion of accountability to answer not only whether our organisation is fulfilling the terms of the funding we receive, but also whether we are fulfilling the needs and goals of the communities we serve. Please take a look of the 2020 evaluation report produced by the group.
Spectra is hosting 2 PEER ONLINE focus groups as part of our commitment to giving our service users a voice volunteers to participate in PAID research sessions:
The focus groups are designed to give a platform to capture diverse voices and will support open discussion to reflect, provide feedback, research solutions and report on gaps in our trans and empowerment programme.
There will be a focus on how Spectra can best evidence that “People have increased skills, knowledge, and improved employment prospects.” within the context of service us-er outcomes.Peer participants will scope themes and areas of research focus and brainstorm about what themes we would like to focus on for the qualitative element of our research and how we would like to collect and report on it.

All participants will be given a £10 Amazon Voucher for their time (for 1.5 hours). People who take part in the focus groups will have the opportunity to develop their facilita-tion/evaluation/report-writing skills.
Each focus group session will be recorded and transcribed to allow for thematic analysis to inform the foundation of a report that captures insights from all the engagement events.
These insights will be combined with data analysis to produce a report in December 2021 which will be shared publicly and will help to inform future strategies to help improve the health and wellbeing of our service users.
Your views are important to us. Please apply to be part of our evaluation group by completing the application from and returning it to CPEG@spectra-london.org.uk. Or, just email us for more information if you are interested but still have questions.
