Services

In response to the current government advice, Spectra is suspending most of our face to face services. Available alternatives are being offered as following:

  1. Outreach & HIV testing services: regular outreach sessions are limited until further notice. Please go to our HIV testing page for more details.
  2. 1-2-1 services (mentoring & counselling): all sessions are offered online. Please contact your counsellor or mentor for more details.
  3. Trans social groups: the social group is offered online at the moment. Please find more details here and follow us on Facebook and twitter for the latest updates.

Mental Health

Infectious disease outbreaks, like the current Coronavirus, can be scary and can affect our mental health. While it is important to stay informed, there are also many things we can do to support and manage our wellbeing during such times.

Mental Health Foundation provides some tips about how to cope with the stress.

Looking after your mental health during the Coronavirus outbreak

Keep healthy and be strong.

Initial findings from our survey with @LGBTfdn show that 41% of men + non-binary people who've given birth in England felt they weren't treated with dignity and respect during labour, compared to 2% of women. The survey is still open though - please share! https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/itemsresearch
