Spectra Coronavirus Advice
From Karen Skipper, Spectra CEO:
Spectra Senior Management Team is following the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak and keeping updated on Government advice. Links to that advice are below and we are asking everyone to read it and follow it closely.
The general Government advice can be found at the link below – the information is refreshed every day at 2:00pm.
Do not leave home if you or someone you live with has either:
- a high temperature
- a new continuous cough
Spectra warmly advice you:
For any query related to the coronavirus please email firstname.lastname@example.org or ring 020 33 22 69 20
In response to the current government advice, Spectra is suspending all our face to face services. Available alternatives are being offered as following:
- Outreach & HIV testing services: regular outreach sessions are suspended until further notice. For anyone seeking HIV & STI tests, home testing kits are available from https://www.shl.uk/. You also live chat with Spectra staff for sexual health advice. If you wish to talk to us face to face, please join our online session every Wednesday, 3pm to 5pm.
- 1-2-1 services (mentoring & counselling): all sessions will be offered online. Please contact your counselor or mentor for more details.
- Trans social groups: the social group will be offered online. Please find more details here and follow us on Facebook and twitter for the latest updates.
Infectious disease outbreaks, like the current Coronavirus, can be scary and can affect our mental health. While it is important to stay informed, there are also many things we can do to support and manage our wellbeing during such times.
Mental Health Foundation provides some tips about how to cope with the stress.
Keep healthy and be strong.
