Our amazing creation Gaia, supported via a grant from Wandsworth Oasis, continues to create impact.
A set of six photographs cataloguing Spectra Programme and Volunteering Manager Anthony Hunte’s transformation from himself into Gaia for London Pride 2019, was accepted for an exhibition at the 2019 European AIDS Clinical Society (EACS) Conference.
The series of photographs ‘Gaia – a metamorphosis’ was exhibited at the conference in November. 15 artists submitted their art works (75 works in total), 25 works were selected – one third of the entries.
We are very proud to announce that Gaia’s entry achieved third prize by public vote, and will be shown at the World Aids Day event hosted by World Health Organisation in Copenhagen.
Every year on the World AIDS Day WHO organizes something internal for the UN Staff and visitors around the WAD/1 December. UN City also hosts at certain hours visits tours for general public and city visitors. So apart from UN staff there are Copenhagen guests that come to the building on schedules hours during the week.
UN City also hosts a lot of regional meetings that are usually attended by many people from other countries.
